Accounting Manager

At Southwestern Electric Cooperative, we power more than just homes – we power communities, progress, and possibilities. As our Accounting Manager, you'll play in essential role in our financial operations, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and efficiency.

Essential Duties:

• Lead and supervise the accounting department, including the accountant and accounting clerks
• Manage the monthly and year-end closing process
• Oversee preparation of federal, state, and local tax filings
• Support the CFO with budgeting, reporting, cash flow, debt management, and board presentations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Master's and/or CPA strongly preferred
• Minimum of 5 years' accounting experience; electric utility or construction accounting experience is a plus
• Prior supervisory experience preferred
